Trauma Therapy Training for Professionals

Trauma Conversion Therapy is the next step in trauma therapy. Do you like EMDR, Ego State Therapy, or other current trauma therapies? Would you like something more powerful or faster? Would you like something less traumatizing to the client and to yourself? Welcome to Trauma Conversion Therapy.
Generations ago, Native American Indians would chew the inner bark of the Birch tree for fevers and pain. It is also called the White Willow or salix betula. Scientists distilled out the active ingredient and named it after the tree: salicylic acid—aspirin. If you had a fever or pain would you rather take just the active ingredient or eat a tree? Most current trauma therapies make people eat the whole tree. They spend a great deal of time doing exercises that, while ultimately effective, are frequently unnecessary.
Trauma Conversion Therapy is the “active ingredient” in trauma therapy. It focuses therapy on what releases the pain and symptoms. It treats the cause of the problem, not the symptoms, and allows the client to heal much faster, with relatively little pain or drop in functioning.
TCT is designed to be used with people who have had at least one traumatic experience that is still affecting them in a negative way. TCT allows clients to convert the experience they are still stuck in into memory, and “The Pain” goes away. As the pain goes away, so do the symptoms. It’s just that simple.
This technique is very effective, usually short-term (less than 20 sessions), and can usually be done without the client reliving the pain through abreactions. The old pain is processed and released internally, the “silent abreaction”.
“The Pain” we speak of is usually old dissociated pain. The SIDRAN Institute, Frank Putnam, MD, and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, all claim the average time a person who has a Dissociative Disorder is in the mental health system before being properly diagnosed, is 7 years. During that 7 years, 2 things are going on. First, the client is not receiving the treatment he/she needs, and second, they are probably receiving a treatment they don’t need. They are being mistreated.
Most psychotherapy schools do not teach how to diagnose and treat Dissociative Disorders. You need to have specialized training outside of school. If the lack of training makes it take so long to correctly diagnose a Dissociative Disorder, is it any wonder it takes 3-5 years to treat it?
